I was at virgin megastore today. The one in times square closed, now the one on 14th street is closing. I find it insane that the illegal downloading of music has shut virgin down. Nick Cannon Fires Back At Eminem Over Mariah Carey Dis

Cannon blogs about Eminem's leaked 'Bagpipes From Baghdad.'

Who is probably the only person in the world who can erase a smile off the always good-natured face of Nick Cannon? One guess. He's known as rap's Mr. No-Holds-Barred: Eminem.

Cannon has taken major offense to a leaked record from Em's Relapse, "Bagpipes From Baghdad," in which Em raps about takingMariah Carey "back" from Nick Cannon. (Carey has denied Eminem's claims that they dated for six months.)

"Nick Cannon better back the f--- up," Em warns the actor/musician on the track. "I'm not playing, I want her back, you punk."

Later in the song, Em leaves a parting salvo: "Nick Cannon, you pr---, I wish you luck with that f---in' whore."

Cannon had a millions things to say in response on his blog on Friday.

"A mediocre (at best) Eminem record that sounds like it was written in 2001," Cannon blogged. "At first, I thought it was old material that had been dug up from when dude 'fantasized' about having a pretend fling with Mariah. ... But all of a sudden I hear my name in the verse! My first reaction was like, 'This is his new sh--? Wow, that's too bad.' "

Cannon said that Eminem's insults amounted to "racist bigotry." "She has had enough difficulty in her life dealing with racial and ethnicity issues," he wrote. "Believe it or not, Mariah is the same racial mixture as our beloved president, Barack Obama. (Black Father + White Mother= BLACK)

"Maybe I'm going too far, but I thought we got past the days where white men could spew vulgar obscenities at our beautiful queens and get away with it," Cannon continued. "What's next? Are we going to let this trash say something horrible about our lovely first lady, Mrs. Michelle Obama? Or would Marshall have talked sideways out of his neck like this about Oprah Winfrey? This act of racist bigotry cannot go unnoticed. Calling my wife a 'c---' and a 'whore' is way worse than anything Don Imus could have ever said. So trust, repercussions will be served. Anybody got Al Sharpton's number?! LOL Let's not forget about Eminem's amateur mixtape rants of calling African Americans 'ni----' and how he hates 'black bi---es.' "

The actor basically vowed revenge on Slim Shady, joking that he would begin rapping again and threatening comedic retribution.

"So, Miss Marshall, I'm going to make you wish you never spoke my name and regret the ungodly things you said about my wife," Cannon continued. "This is going to be fun! It's however you want it! Just remember, you did this to yourself! Your legacy has now been tainted from this day forth! You will now be known as the rapper who lost to corny-ass Nick Cannon!"

so the Dragon Ballz movie is coming out in a couple of weeks. Limited trailers have been show. word is the the movie was so bad fox didnt even wanna show the trailer. The movie came out in japan about a week or two ago , so its been circulating online and the reviews contain such words as "Crap"...Now i know the fan Boys tend to be haters, so i say go by your own opinion, but i must admit the trailer makes its even look like shit!!! when you cant even pull the wool over the peoples eyes with a dressed up trailer(remember ultra violet??) then your probably screwed.I'm gonna to see it , just to check out the train wreck! Seth Rogen Confirms 'Green Hornet' Director: It's Michel Gondry!

'It will be a great combination of ... both of our styles,' the actor says of collaborating with the visionary director.

By Larry CarrollSeth Rogen's high-profile superhero movie has a brand-new director — one of the most distinctive visionaries in Hollywood — and the star can only use three words to describe how he's feeling about it.

"It's f---ing crazy!" he said when we spoke with him Tuesday, accentuating the point with his trademark laugh (which was imitated by Steven Spielberg and Ron Howard backstage at the Oscars).

His new "Green Hornet" collaborator is none other than Michel Gondry, the eye-popping auteur who gave us "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind," "Be Kind Rewind," and too many classic music videos to list here. Capping off an exhaustive search, the "Pineapple Express" funnyman said Gondry is the perfect director for his comedic take on the crime-fighting newspaper publisher who first slipped into his green mask in 1936.

"Me and [co-writer] Evan [Goldberg] have always been gigantic fans of [Gondry]," Rogen beamed. "We just like anyone who thinks outside the box, and there's really nobody who thinks more outside the box then he does; he's really a magician in a lot of ways."

Serving as writer, producer and star of the film that begins shooting soon, Rogen admitted that he had always been pulling for Gondry to land the high-profile gig — and even helped the French filmmaker get an inside track. "I've actually been e-mailing with him for a really long time, because he was involved with the project a long time ago," he explained. "With the permission of nobody, I sent him our script ... to get his input and ideally convince the studio to meet with him. They were skeptical of ... I wouldn't say his ability to make a giant budget studio movie, but hiswillingness to make a giant budget studio movie. But he loved the script, he totally got it, which a lot of [potential directors] just didn't."

Gondry loved the "Green Hornet" script so much, in fact, that he began filming it immediately. "To convince the studio to let him do it, he filmed a fight scene on his own," Rogen marveled. "He just hired stunt men and did it by himself! Just to show some of the stuff he could do, some of the weird filming techniques he has and some of the stuff he can pull off. I mean, this is something he did in two days and it was instantly unlike anything you've ever seen before. It was impossible not to hire him once he presented what he could do for it."

Now, Rogen and Goldberg are looking forward to blending their unique "Superbad" sensibility with a decades-old crime-fighter and a thoroughly modern filmmaker. And while he assured us that the result will prominently feature Gondry's knack for making ordinary things look extraordinary, he was quick to say that the film won't simply be the Gondry we've come to expect.

"My direct quote to [Gondry] right before he met with the studio was, 'You have to convince them they're not gonna show up on set one day and everything is gonna be made out of cardboard,' " laughed Rogen. "And he said, 'I can definitely do that.' "

"["The Green Hornet"] will be a great combination of both of our movies, of both of our styles," Rogen said of the film, which hits theaters June 25, 2010. "It should have the type of conversational tone and comedy that me and Evan have been doing — and some of the action that we have been starting to try to do — along with the wild, visual imagination and funny awkward sensibility that he's been doing."

The entire collection, which features bags, t-shirts, boots, shoes, as well as the much talked about $8,250 dollar skateboard and LV monogram trunk (which only 3 where made) was available today. As Isaac Mizrahi’s final collection for Target cycles through stores, the retailer is unveiling plans for a new fashion initiative. Target in March will launch Designer Collaborations, which is aimed to be an ongoing program that will bring a series of established designers to the masses at low prices. Designer Collaborations is a separate program from Target’s Go International, which focuses on young or emerging designers and, in the past, has featured names such as Proenza Schouler, Luella Bartley, Behnaz Sarafpour, Rogan and Richard Chai. Industry sources have estimated that Go International does more than $100 million in annual sales. The launch collaboration will be with Alexander McQueen, who will create a version of his McQ collection, called McQ Alexander McQueen for Target. “Both programs are geared toward our trend-minded guests who are always on the hunt for the newest and hottest looks at an affordable price,” said Trish Adams, senior vice president of Target. “Designer Collaborations is another way in which Target brings an emporium of designers to our guests. This specific McQ Alexander McQueen for Target collection does have the potential to skew toward a slightly older guest compared to some of our other designer collections.” The retailer said additional Designer Collaborations are planned. Each collection will be available in stores for a limited time. Participating designers will draw inspiration from a muse, creative element or collaborative partner. McQueen chose as his muse Leila Moss, the lead singer of The Duke Spirit, a British band known for mixing noise rock and grunge in the late Eighties and early Nineties. Moss’ style gave the line its rock ’n’ roll-punk vibe and hip-Brit accents. “We believe Designer Collaborations will appeal to our fashion-forward guests as well as possibly attract new customers who are fans of Alexander McQueen and McQ,” Adams said. McQueen, who established his secondary line, McQ Alexander McQueen, last year, said at the time that it’s “younger and more renegade [than the main collection], but always signature McQueen.” McQ Alexander McQueen for Target will feature lightweight sweaters, skinny jeans, bubble dresses, slim skirts and cuffed shorts. Signature pieces include a coated cotton poplin black trench, a rock ’n’ roll gray denim cropped studded jacket, a men’s wear-inspired tuxedo blazer and a color-blocked one-shoulder dress with bubble hem. The collection also will include swimwear and cotton voile print scarves. Price points were not yet available. The collection has a muted color palette of black, white, gray and tan with accents of cobalt blue and bright pink. Studs and mesh give items an edge. For example, a chambray sleeveless shirtdress has stud detailing, there’s a mesh wrap dress and an open yarn zipper cardigan. Graphic prints and silk-screen photographs give tunics, dresses and T-shirts visual interest. The Leila silk-screen T-shirt with a necklace collar was designed for The Duke Spirit lead singer, while other band members are immortalized on a sleeveless jersey T-shirt. A sateen strapless pleat dress in a tattoo print of mermaids, dice and anchors is an example of McQueen’s penchant for pairing feminine fabrics with tough details — in this case, a studded leather belt. “The McQ Alexander McQueen for Target collection will be supported with an advertising strategy designed to drive buzz and traffic via innovative out of home, online, national magazines and e-mail,” Adams said.

2008 was a weird year for music people say. I say it was a weird year for the music BIZ not actual music...there were alot of dope albums this year. Im upset I cant put em all up.

10. T.I. - Paper Trail

T.I. came back admist all the legal troubles and a subpar "T.I. vs. T.I.P" album. He pretty much semented his place amongst the tops in hip hop. "Swagger Like Us" was the BEST rap track this year. I dont wanna hear the word "swagger" in 2009....at all!!!! LOL T.I. also had two of the highest charting singles this year with "Living Ya Life" feat. Rihanna and "Whatever You Like".

Other Notable Tracks: "Swing Ya Rag" feat. Swizz Beatz, "What's Up, What's Happening"

9. Santogold- Santogold

When I first heard of her it was in some Diplo mix and i was hooked. Check out the EP, I was hooked. Waited for the self titled debut album, again.....I was hooked. Santogold's music was no genre, its a term that I like to call "alternative heat"!!

7. Raphael Saadiq- The Way I See It

Raphael Saadiq channels his inner 50's lounge singer on his latest effort. This is genuine Motown-esque music. Sam Cooke must be smiling right now. Oh, peep Hov on "Oh Girl" (Remix) too!

6. The-Dream- Love/Hate

The-Dream is a hell of a songwriter. He has a nack for writing a hit song, he has many, MANY hit records that he penned for other artist. Now, we have a album full of his own. The structure of the album is dope also, almost ever track continues seemlessly from the last, making for smooth listening. And I checked my iTunes, I listened to The-Dream's album 46 times!!

5. N.E.R.D- Seeing Sounds

Pete and I agree. This is N.E.R.D.'s best album. Hands down. The sounds and structure of the songs made this one of my favorite albums. There live show is mean!!! Why this album was overlooked....I have no clue. But take my word...its CRAZY!!!! And the video for my favorite song "Sooner Or Later" is my favorite video of 2008.

4. Q-Tip- The Renaissance

THE....BEST....HIP-HOP....ALBUM...THIS YEAR....PERIOD!!!!! The Abstract returned with this scorther that he produced entirely except for 2 tracks. Tip is the fucking man! "Getting Up" was on the most played song this year for me. I couldnt get enough it the song, or this album.

One day, I dont know what I was doing, what I was going through but I was listening to it and it all made sense. The songs, though lyrically simple, had an impact as you can hear the pain, the stress Mr. West was going through. He made an album that strikes human emotion and suddenly the megastar Kanye seemed human. "Heartless" is my shit!

2. Coldplay- Viva La Vida

".....since Parachutes been a fan of Coldplay."....oh where was I? Yes, I remember hearing Viva La Vida for the first time and thinking, yo somebody need to RAP over some of these tracks!! You can definetly hear the hip hop influence in this album. Chris Martin never fails to impress me as a songwriter. It is in my mind there most complete and interesting album to date. The album artwork is also my favorite this year.

Sonically....this album is perfect. Lyrically...this album is perfect. Lead man Thom Yorke and the gang put this album out for free download only to later sell it as a regular release. Clicque or not...this album left me speechless. My words wouldnt do the album review any justice, you MUST listen to it for yourself. It is an event!

Yea so you know…. being a big time music fan besides being an artist at the end of every year I list me 10 ten favorite albums. This year was hard for several reasons. First off I hate when other artist talk about how much other peoples music sucks and how “how the game sucks” right now but I’m not gonna lie this year I have to agree. I buy a lot of music but this year I think I brought the least. Anotheri thing that made the list hard was trying to decide the order of the top 5. When I finally chose my top 10. Although you may noticed that one of 2 of the albums I got on the list came out in 07 that’s because I didn’t discover this artist/band until 08. So this is more like the list of the top 10 albums I purchased in 2008. Enjoy!

10. Elephant man-Let’s Get Physical

I don’t know man I think Bad Boy dropped the ball on this one. It’s got quite a few bangers on there and the production is mean.

9.Phantom Planet-Raise The Dead

Phantom planet been my dudes from way back. Pretty consistent. This album is no different. And they let Sony and dropped this one on fuel by Ramen, which was pretty dope. My only disappointment was that they spent all of 2008 as supporting acts for other bands instead of doing headlining shows so I didn’t get to see them this year.

8.N*E*R*D-Seeing Sounds

This album was crack! That pretty much sums it up. Banger after banger. In my opinion this is a band that hones and shapes their sound more and more each album and this one was even doper and tighter. I seen them perform at the diesel anniversary party over the summer and it was like a rave!!!

7.Fall Out Boy-Folie A’ Deux

This album was dope. Underrated. It was originally suppose to come out on Election Day but they pushed it out. I was Up-set!. The album is mean though. Its one of the few albums I have ever heard that gets better as it goes along.

6-Cold War Kids-Loyalty To Loyalty

This Album like the one before took a couple of listens to grow onto me. But its so damn dope. More laid back than Robbers & Cowards but still Hot.

5-Lykke Li-Youth Novels

Now I heard of this chick because of the MTVU Woodie Awards. She seemed to be a fan favorite so I decided to check her out. Let me just say this album is amazing. From the singing to the production. It’s all real minimalistic but damn. This was close to being my pick for album of the year.

4-Billy Talent-Billy Talent II

Yea this album came out in 07 but I copped it at the beginning of the yea, because I was going to see my chemical romance in concert and I thought they were gonna open for them. They didn’t open for them on that date, but anyways I went to their MySpace page and I think I heard 20 seconds of a song and it was a wrap. This album is Re-tar-ded!!!!!!!!!! They aint no joke. The lead vocalist voice and delivery is crazy and the guitarist are mean.

3-Elvis Perkins-Ash Wednesday

Now this album too also came out in 07 I think. I went to see cold war kids at Prospect Park during the summer and Elvis opened for them with his band Dear Land and they were amazing. They played about 9 instruments all together.lol. So after the show I copped the album and its pretty much the saddest yet most beautiful thing I have ever heard. I think I listened to this album more than any one I copped this year. This record too was real close to being my favorite album of 08

2-Kings Of Leon-Only By The Night

This album barely missed being my number one choice. This is probably the most listenable album of 2008. I know kings of Leon has been around doing their thing for a minute but I think they changed things with this album. The thing that pushed me to buy it was when I was them on SNL doing “use somebody” it was a dope as performance. Then I went to their website I saw the video for “Sex IS On Fire” and that was it. That album is crack. They have been in the iTunes top 10 rock albums since it came out. If you aint got it get with it! They are blowing up pretty quick. They are doing a gig at MSG and it sold out so quick that they decided to resize their stage set-up so they can put more seats in there and sell more tickets.

1-Mettalica- Death Magnetic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MAAAANNNNNN LLLIIIssstteen!!! All I gots to say is Metallica and rick Ruben. This record is mean; it’s a stone cold ass Kicker. Cheers to them. Its hard-core man. Hard Fuckin core!!!!. If you aint got it you’re cheating yourself plain and simple.

So Friday I went and saw the movie "The Day the earth stood still". Now don’t get me wrong I wasn’t mad at it but. I noticed in 2008 we saw the rise of what I like to call Green initiative movies. These are films made where the message in the end it “BE KIND TO THE EARTH OR THE EARTH WILL DESTROY YOU”. The first film of this kind was M.knights “The Happening”. Now don’t get me wrong I love the planet as much as the next tree hugger. But when I go to see a movie and I’m expecting to see some shit blow up I wanna see Bruce Willis save the world or some tactical nuclear attack not “recycling”..but hey if this is what it takes to wake you People up then so be it!!!! But if I go see transformers 2 and the only way to stop the decepticons is to unplug all electrical devices in my crib and separate my papers and plastics I'MA BUST MICHEAL BAYS ARSE!!!!!!!

German cannibal tells of fantasy

A man accused of killing, dissecting and eating another man has gone on trial in central Germany.

The court heard how horror films had fuelled Armin Meiwes' childhood fantasies of eating school friends.

The 41-year-old computer technician is charged with murder, even though the victim allegedly volunteered for his fate by replying to an internet advert.

The gruesome incident was all captured on camcorder and the footage is expected to form part of the evidence.

"I had the fantasy, and in the end I fulfilled it," he said. The fantasy first developed between the ages of eight and 12, he added.

Mr Meiwes spoke of how he felt ignored by his father, and longed for a good-looking younger brother - whom he would bind to himself forever by consuming.

It is Germany's first cannibalism case, and the world's media have gathered in Kassel to watch the proceedings.

Television images showed Mr Meiwes - wearing a jacket and a tie - smiling and talking light-heartedly to his lawyer moments before the trial began.

It was the first time that the self-confessed cannibal had been seen in public since his arrest.

The grisly details of the case caused a sensation in the German media when Mr Meiwes was arrested in December, 2002.

In a recent newspaper interview he admitted that he had killed and then partly eaten his victim.

Mr Meiwes advertised on the internet for a well-built male prepared to be slaughtered and then consumed.

"Slim and blond, that would have been the type", he told the court.

The victim, 43-year-old Bernd-Jurgen Brandes, answered the advert in March 2001.

Mr Meiwes told investigators he took Mr Brandes back to his home in Rotenburg, where Mr Brandes agreed to have his penis cut off, which Mr Meiwes then flambéed and served up to eat together.

Prosecutors say Mr Meiwes then stabbed the victim repeatedly in the neck and dissected the corpse.

Shock value

Legally it is a tricky case, says the BBC's correspondent in Berlin, Ray Furlong.

Cannibalism is not a recognised offence under German law and the defence will argue that, since the victim volunteered, this was no murder.

If the court accepts the defence argument, Mr Meiwes can expect a jail term of up to five years.

But the prosecution will push for a life sentence on the basis that Mr Meiwes is simply too dangerous ever to be released.

Meanwhile, Germans will continue to be treated to a media frenzy that plays on the story's unrivalled shock value.

And among the "highlights" will be the two-hour video that Mr Meiwes took of the whole incident on his camcorder, our correspondent says.

"The public probably won't be excluded from this part of proceedings; we have a tradition of open trials," says legal expert Felix Hardenberg.

"But the panel of judges will show only the relevant parts: what the victim is saying and doing before and during the killing."

Mr Meiwes has said that after his trial he intends to pass the time in jail - if convicted - by writing his memoirs.

The court will hear 38 witnesses and 14 sessions are scheduled in the trial, which is scheduled to end in late January.

The case only came to light when an Austrian student spotted another advertisement placed by Mr Meiwes on the internet and alerted police.

whats good people. this is Pete of the freshmen making my first ever blog post. Sorry this thing has been neglected we have been ultra busy, but you have my word it will be updated more often. We been so busy fine tuning some of your favorite songs and working on some new ones. Look out for "attack of the 5'3 hipster". its a new song that i have produced and i'm really proud of it. its probably the best production i have done so far(thank you mac book, thank you logic) we also just finished up Filming the video for our song "Close-up" aka "moving targets" yesterday. its coming out pretty dope. its all blue screen so its gonna have special effects galore. I'll post up a making of the video blog post pretty soon but for now here's a pic or two!!. Um i was at the H&M launch for the Collaboration with Comme Des Garcon on the 13th. Camped out at 5 in the morning...But it was totally worth it got a couple of cool limited edition items including the 2 suits which i was in dire need of..You'll be seeing those soon at a show..Speaking of shows we are rocking at arlenes grocery on 12/06!!!! Comme check us out.lol. we gonna be Doing some new songs, some songs you aint heard in a while and a special song!!!! its gonna be awesome!!!. ok gotta go now.
